Terms and Conditions
Effective 14 October 2026
These Terms and Conditions (“Terms”) are a contract between you and Jive Labs LLP (“jyve”, “we”, “us”) for the jyve website, mobile application, and related services (the “Platform”).
By accessing or using the Platform, you agree to these Terms and to the Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, do not use the Platform.
jyve lists events so you can find them. It does not run them. We do not control, supervise, or guarantee an event, and we are not responsible for what happens there: the people, the place, the plan, the safety, the logistics, or the experience. The organizer is.
1. What jyve is
jyve is an aggregator and a discovery tool. Organizers and other third parties supply the listings. We provide software that lets people browse those listings, request to join, and, where a feature exists, publish a listing of their own.
We are an intermediary under the Information Technology Act, 2000. We do not initiate or select the substance of an organizer’s listing, and we do not organise, host, promote as our own, sponsor, or supervise the event itself.
- jyve is not the organizer, host, venue, or ticket seller;
- jyve is not a party to the arrangement between you and the organizer;
- a listing is not our offer, recommendation, or promise; and
- we are legally neutral as between attendees, organizers, and venues.
We may refuse, remove, or reorder a listing, or decline an account. That is a decision about our Platform. It does not make us the organizer, and it does not mean we have checked that an event is safe, lawful, accurately described, or worth attending.
2. Eligibility
You must be at least 18 years old and competent to contract under the Indian Contract Act, 1872. If you use the Platform for a business, you confirm that you are allowed to bind that business.
Some events have their own age, guest, or entry rules. Those rules are the organizer’s. We do not promise that you will meet them, or that the organizer will apply them.
3. Accounts
Some parts of the Platform require an account. You will give us information that is true, keep it current, and keep your sign-in details to yourself. You are responsible for activity on your account. Tell us at contact@jive.club if you think someone else is using it.
We may ask for a live photo, social profiles, or other checks so we can see that an account belongs to a real person. You may not impersonate anyone or create an account with information you know is false.
Access may depend on an application, an invite, or a review. Sending an application does not mean we will accept it. We may accept, waitlist, or decline an application, and we do not have to give a detailed reason, except where the law says we must.
4. Listings
Listings can be incomplete, out of date, cancelled, duplicated, or wrong. The organizer writes them. We do not guarantee that:
- an event will happen, or happen as described;
- the time, place, price, capacity, or lineup is accurate;
- you will be admitted;
- anyone you hope to meet will be there; or
- you will enjoy it, or that it will be useful, safe, or suitable for you.
Showing a listing, ranking it, or placing it near you is a product decision about discovery. It is not a check, a certification, or an endorsement.
5. Organizers
If you create or manage a listing, you are the organizer of that event. You, and not jyve, are solely responsible for the event and for the listing, including:
- whether the description, time, place, price, and any restriction are accurate and kept up to date;
- whether you have the right to hold the event and to use the text, photos, names, and marks in the listing;
- permissions, licences, and venue arrangements;
- who you admit, and on what terms;
- the price, and any cancellation or refund practice you offer;
- how you use attendee information we pass to you, including telling people what you will do with it;
- conduct at the event, crowd and entry arrangements, and the safety of the premises and the plan; and
- compliance with law, including law on public events, alcohol, noise, discrimination, and consumer information.
You will not state or imply that jyve organises, hosts, insures, supervises, or guarantees the event. You will deal with attendees directly on questions about the event itself.
6. Asking to join
A request to join is a request to the organizer. The organizer decides. We do not guarantee a place, a response, or entry on the day. Any rule the organizer states for that event, including a price or a cancellation practice, is between you and the organizer.
You attend, or decide not to attend, on your own judgment. You are responsible for getting there, for any cost you incur, and for how you behave.
7. Money
Some listings are free. Some show a price set by the organizer. Where money changes hands, it is for access to the organizer’s event. jyve is not the seller of the event, the venue, or the experience.
Payments may be taken by the organizer or by a payment provider. We do not have to offer a refund, a credit, or a replacement if an event is cancelled, moved, rescheduled, oversold, or different from the listing. Those questions go to the organizer. If a payment provider is involved, their terms apply as well.
We may, if we choose, help pass a message or a refund instruction. Doing so is a courtesy. It does not make the event ours, and it does not make us responsible for the money or the outcome.
8. The event is not our responsibility
To the fullest extent permitted by law, jyve is not responsible for any event listed on the Platform, or for anything that happens in connection with it. That includes, without limitation:
- whether the event occurs, starts on time, or matches the listing;
- the venue, route, crowd, capacity, entry, security, food, drink, or transport;
- the conduct of the organizer, staff, venue, or any other person there;
- injury, illness, harassment, discrimination, property loss, or any other harm;
- your experience of the event, including disappointment; and
- any arrangement, dispute, or loss between you and an organizer, venue, or another attendee.
Your arrangement for the event is with the organizer and, where relevant, the venue. Claims about the event, its logistics, its safety, or the experience of attending it must be brought against them, not against jyve.
Nothing in these Terms removes a responsibility that applicable law does not allow us to remove. The limits in these Terms apply to the maximum extent the law allows.
9. Acceptable use
You will not:
- break the law, or help someone else break it;
- list or request an event that is unlawful, or that you do not have the right to hold;
- harass, threaten, or unlawfully discriminate against anyone;
- impersonate a person or an organizer;
- post information you know is false in a way that matters;
- scrape the Platform, probe it, or try to access an account or system you are not allowed to use;
- interfere with the Platform or upload malicious code;
- misuse another person’s personal information; or
- use the Platform to build a competing product, or for any purpose other than discovery and listing of events.
10. Your content
You keep ownership of text, photos, audio, and other material you submit. You give jyve a non-exclusive licence to host, store, reproduce, display, and adapt that material as needed to operate the Platform, show a listing or profile, and keep the service secure. The licence ends when you remove the material, except for copies we need to keep for legal, security, or backup reasons, and except for material already shared with an organizer.
You confirm that you have the rights to submit what you submit, and that it does not infringe anyone else’s rights.
11. Moderation
We are not obliged to review listings, profiles, or messages before they appear. We may remove or restrict content, listings, or accounts where we believe these Terms or the law require it, or where we choose to. If you believe something on the Platform is unlawful, write to contact@jive.club with enough detail for us to find it.
12. Our intellectual property
The Platform, including its software, design, and the jyve name and marks, belongs to Jive Labs LLP or its licensors. We give you a personal, limited, revocable, non-transferable right to use the Platform for its intended purpose while these Terms apply. You may not copy, resell, or reverse engineer it except where the law does not allow that restriction.
13. Other services
The Platform may use or link to payment, map, sign-in, messaging, and organizer services. Those services have their own terms. We are not responsible for them, except where the law does not allow that.
14. The Platform is provided as it is
The Platform is provided “as is” and “as available”. We do not warrant that it will be uninterrupted, error-free, or fit for a particular purpose. We do not warrant the accuracy or availability of any listing. Discovery results can change without notice.
15. Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, jyve and its partners, directors, and staff are not liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive loss, or for lost profits, data, goodwill, or opportunity, arising out of the Platform or an event.
To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, we are not liable for personal injury, illness, emotional distress, or loss of property arising out of an event, its logistics, its safety, or your experience of it.
If we are held liable for the Platform itself, and the law allows a cap, our total liability to you for all claims in a twelve-month period is limited to the amount you paid to jyve for use of the Platform in the three months before the claim, or INR 1,000, whichever is greater. This cap does not apply to liability the law does not allow us to cap, and it does not create any liability for an event.
16. Indemnity
You will indemnify jyve and its partners, directors, and staff against claims, losses, and reasonable legal costs arising out of your listings, your events, your content, your misuse of the Platform, or your breach of these Terms, except to the extent caused by our own fraud or wilful misconduct.
17. Suspension and ending access
You may stop using jyve at any time and may ask us to delete your account as described in the Privacy Policy. We may suspend or close an account, or remove a listing, if we believe these Terms have been broken, if we believe the account or listing creates a legal or fraud risk, or if we stop offering the Platform. We may do this without advance notice where we reasonably need to.
Sections that by their nature should continue, including sections 5, 8, 10, 12, 15, 16, 18, and 19, survive.
18. Changes to these Terms
We may update these Terms. The effective date on this page will change when we do. If you keep using the Platform after the update, the updated Terms apply. If you do not agree, stop using the Platform.
19. Law and disputes
These Terms are governed by the laws of India. Subject to any right you have to approach a consumer forum or other forum that the law does not allow us to take away, the courts at New Delhi have exclusive jurisdiction.
If a part of these Terms cannot be enforced, the rest still applies. A delay in enforcing a right is not a waiver of it. These Terms are the entire agreement between you and jyve about the Platform.
20. Grievances and contact
For a grievance about the Platform, email the Grievance Officer at contact@jive.club. Use the subject line “Grievance” and describe the listing, account, or issue. We will acknowledge and resolve grievances about the Platform within the timelines required by the Information Technology (Intermediary Guidelines and Digital Media Ethics Code) Rules, 2021, where those rules apply.
A grievance about an event, including entry, safety, logistics, or the experience, should be sent to the organizer. We may pass your message on. We are not obliged to resolve it, and passing it on does not make the event ours.
